Dr. Christin Hurt is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in the full range of dermatology including medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Raised in Alabama, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She received a scholarship to medical school and earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine, graduating in the top of her class. During medical school, she received the distinct honor of being selected to Alpha Omega Alpha, a premier medical honor society, as well as the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Hurt completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Tulane School of Medicine and her residency in Dermatology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. During her last year of residency, Dr. Hurt was selected to be chief resident. She holds memberships in the American Academy of Dermatology, the Women’s Dermatologic Society, and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons.

Dr. Christin Hurt has participated in and published research involving adult acne. She has given talks regarding skin cancer and methods of detecting skin cancer. Her dermatologic interests are broad and include common skin conditions like eczema, acne, and psoriasis. She also enjoys helping patients look their best with laser treatments, fillers, Botox, and chemical peels. She is trained in Botox, Dysport, Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse, and Sculptra. She assesses her cosmetic patients and provides a skin care regimen which may include combinations of topical skin care products to contribute to overall skin rejuvenation.

Dr. Hurt resides in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her husband, Jim, is the chief resident of Orthopaedic Surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine. She and Jim currently spend most of their free time enjoying their new baby boy, James, born on July 5, 2011.
