Laser Genesis - Related Questions

Q: What areas can be treated?

A: Laser Genesis patients report excellent results over their entire faces and necks. Additionally, practitioners may suggest this therapy to diminish recent scars on other parts of the body.

Q: What is diffuse redness?

A: Diffuse redness is a general appearance of facial redness, such as rosy cheeks. This condition is caused by dilated capillaries, resulting in an appearance of general redness, not discrete, well-defined vessels. The most commonly affected areas are the nose, forehead and cheeks. Diffuse redness is often associated with a condition called rosacea, and it can be hereditary.

Q: What does the procedure feel like?

A: Patients often describe the treatment as relaxing and therapeutic. You will experience a gentle warming of your skin’s surface during the procedure. Patients can immediately return to normal activities, while using sunscreen for outdoor activities.

Q: How does Laser Genesis work

A: By gently heating the upper dermis well below your skin's surface, Laser Genesis stimulates collagen regrowth to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Additional heat is generated in dilated capillaries to reduce redness.

Q: What can I expect before the treatment?

A: Patients will not need gel, anesthetic cream or ice prior to treatment. Before the actual Laser Genesis treatment, patients will be asked to remove make-up or moisturizers and, in some case, may be asked to shave the area to be treated. Our doctors will review and assist with all pre-treatment requirements.

Q: How many treatments will I need

A: The treatment results are often subtle. On average, patients require four to six treatments in order to achieve optimal results. Every patient's condition and needs vary, and our doctors can determine what is best for each patient during the consultation.

Q: What are the possible side effects?

A: Although most patients report few if any side effects, the most common is a slight redness that disappears within a few hours of treatment.

Review From Vanessa V.
Dr. Lupo is truly amazing. This was my first time with filler and not only did she ease my fears but also gave me the most beautiful result. She used just enough to accentuate the contours of my lips and face. Also, she used a product on me called Aqua Gold which gave me wonderful results. The tone, texture, firmness, and overall appearance of my skin was greatly improved. When I left her i felt absolutely FLAWLESS! I highly highly recommend her and her team!
