A chemical peel works as a resurfacing technique that removes the top layers of the skin by means of a chemical, as opposed to heat with a laser and as opposed to mechanical means with a dermabrasion. A chemical literally removes by lifting up the top layers of the skin. New skin is laid down so that pores appear smaller, small lines are plumped up and seem to disappear.
Just about anyone is a candidate for a chemical peel. There are different peels for different ages and different degrees of wrinkling. And no matter what strength of peel is best for you, your recovery time will be minimal.
