Board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Mary Lupo, offers patients in and around the New Orleans area with quality care for the skin, hair, nails, and body. She understands how important it is to look and feel your best, which is why her practice offers some of the most advanced solutions in the USA. One service requested regularly in her practice is laser hair removal.
Using laser light, dermatologists can target hair follicles. This eliminates their ability to grow new hair, resulting in permanent hair reduction. The light can only treat hair that is in the active growth phase, which means that one treatment will only provide a reduction and not full removal of hair. Patients must schedule a series of treatment over several months for optimum results.
In the past, there were concerns regarding the pigmentation of the hair and skin to determine who was a proper candidate for treatment. However, lasers have come a long way and patients of all ethnicities and hair color can obtain services at our practice. Patients who want to learn more about this treatment and whether they can enjoy services are welcome to contact the Lupo Center for Aesthetic and General Dermatology for a consultation appointment and initial examination.
Advantages of treatment include:
Laser hair removal is one of the best options for addressing unwanted hair. It has several benefits when compared to shaving, waxing, and plucking. The team of Lupo Center for Aesthetic and General Dermatology can assist patients with this, and many other cosmetic dermatology solutions.
