Louisiana patients use Botox injections for the treatment of folds and wrinkles on the face
By Dr. Mary LupoBotox injections
Botox is injected into specific muscles of the face to reduce their contractions. The result is smoother skin. Dynamic wrinkles on the face that are easily treated with Botox include crow’s feet around the eyes, glabellar lines between the eyebrows, and the wrinkles on the forehead.Botox injections are completed in our office. Patients first schedule a consultation appointment with the doctor to find out if this is the best treatment for their specific needs. Some patients may want to consider other neuromodulators such as Xeomin or Dysport, or even discuss the benefits of dermal fillers which can be used in conjunction with Botox injections. Patients relax in the treatment chair as Botox is injected into problem areas. Over the course of several days, patients will begin to see drastic improvements in the treated areas. In most cases, patients won’t have to visit the practice again for reinjection until months later when the medication begins to wear off.
