Restylane Refyne & Restylane Defyne
As skin loses elasticity with age, the lines that run from the sides of the nose toward the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds) and the lines that run from the corner of the mouth toward the chin (marionette lines) appear more noticeable. Because this area around the mouth has lot of movement, we never want to treat it in a way that takes away the natural expressions and flexibility.
Restylane Refyne and Restylane Defyne are two hyaluronic acid gel fillers that are designed to maintain movement and expressions for the lines and folds around the mouth. As a trainer for both products, Dr. Lupo was one of the first dermatologists in New Orleans to use Refyne and Defyne.
The two fillers differ from each other in their amount of flexibility and support. Refyne is the better choice for finely etched lines, whereas Defyne is better for deeper folds.
