Dr. Mary Lupo of the Lupo Center for Aesthetic and General Dermatology is always “in the know” regarding upcoming and new products available for patients on the market. Men and women who want to combat the unwanted signs of aging on the face, especially the formation of fine lines and wrinkles, may want to ask our team about the RHA Collection of dermal fillers and their benefits. New Orleans, Louisiana patients can visit our experienced team of professionals to ask about and obtain these exciting filler products approved by the FDA.
RHA stands for “resilient hyaluronic acid.” Many other dermal fillers on the market today, including Juvéderm and Restylane, are formulated with hyaluronic acid. HA is naturally present in the skin and helps attract water, therefore increasing the volume where it is located. By injecting fillers made of HA, patients can enjoy immediate results and months of improvement before requiring further treatments. The RHA Collection of fillers is approved by the FDA and is slightly different from traditional dermal fillers on the market today. The RHA fillers are made through a different manufacturing process which preserves much of the hyaluronic acid’s structure to mimic the HA naturally found in the patient’s skin. That ensures that the product can be injected into special areas of the face without resulting in the appearance of a stiff or unnatural facial movement.
