What results can New Orleans area patients experience with Sculptra treatment?By Dr. Mary Lupo
Dr. Mary Lupo believes that patients should have a variety of options available to them when it comes to addressing the signs of aging, including fine lines, wrinkles, and folds. Many patients love the results of Sculptra treatment. This particular method of restoring one’s appearance can be used on areas such as the nasolabial folds, temples, marionette lines, cheeks and jaw line. It is not to be used on areas such as in the lips and around the eyes, although other injectable treatments can be used in these areas. Sculptra works differently from dermal fillers and other injectables because it uses poly-L-lactic acid to stimulate collagen production and slowly reabsorb into the body. Dermal fillers such as Juvéderm work by adding volume directly to the lines and wrinkles with the use of hyaluronic acid, which is also absorbed back into the body over time. Since poly-L-lactic acid stimulates collagen production, the results from Sculptra often last considerably longer than with other dermal fillers made with hyaluronic acid.
The results of Sculptra are long lasting, but patients may need to have injections redone after a year or two to maintain the appearance. Sculptra cannot stop aging, but can help slow it down, allowing patients to age gracefully with fewer lines and wrinkles while maintaining youthful volume.
Patients in and around the New Orleans area who want to learn more about the treatment results of Sculptra are encouraged to contact Dr. Mary Lupo and speak with her regarding the methods of restoring youthfulness. Doing so with injectables is often one of the fastest methods of improving one’s appearance and reducing the fine lines and wrinkles that often cause patients to look older than they feel!
