Dear Dr. Lupo:
I'm nervous to begin anti-aging treatments because of the bad results I've seen on TV. Are any anti-aging treatments safe?

Dear Brittany:
There is a quick answer to this question: YES! IF the procedure is performed by a trained, board certified and experience dermatologist or plastic surgeon who only uses FDA approved products and understands how to use them and also how to fix any rare complication. Too many cut-rate spas and salons are using illegally imported and unapproved materials and injections are done by non-aesthetic, untrained and uncertified "providers." Bottom line is to do research on your physicians before seeing them for any type of treatment to be sure they are fully qualified to treat you.
