What's the difference between Juvederm, Voluma, and Sculptra?

Dear Jen:
There are a lot of differences between these fillers!
Juvederm is hyaluronic acid (HA) and is soft and pliable, so it is very nice in folds and lips.
Voluma is also HA, but the HA chains are shorter and the crosslinking is very different from Juvederm, making it have more lift and persistence in the skin. Voluma is best for plumping flat cheeks.
Sculptra is not HA, but poly-L-lactic acid and is really a dermal collagen stimulating liquid that is great for gaunt, thin faces to make them look healthy. It can reshape the face and is a great choice in sunken temples, but it should NEVER go into the lips.
