When patients are ready to learn about treatment for fine lines and wrinkles, they may want to find out how Dysport is used. Dysport is an injection that is used for the muscles of the face to reduce the appearance of the wrinkles and folds that develop on the upper third of the facial area. Dysport is used in the same way as Botox to treat:
  • Crow’s feet
  • Forehead folds
  • Glabellar lines
  • Lip Lines
  • Downward turned lips
  • Drooping eyebrows
  • Sagging jowls
Patients in the New Orleans, LA area often enjoy Dysport treatments, which provide results within a week that will last many months before reinjection is required. Dysport makes it easy to maintain a youthful appearance and slow the signs of aging. While there is no way to stop the aging process, Dysport and other injectables used in our practice can slow it down with techniques to turn back the hands of time in a natural-looking way.

Why choose Dysport?

Dysport is a great medication that has been used in the same way as Botox. Dysport is a great medication that has been used in the same way as Botox. It is formulated with a protein called botulinum toxin type A which is used to inhibit muscle contractions and smooth dynamic wrinkles. Drs. Mary Lupo and Skylar Souyoul often use these neuromodulators in conjunction with other injectables such as hyaluronic acid dermal fillers and collagen stimulators. The combination of Dysport with other injectables is often called a “liquid face lift” and can provide amazing results. We encourage patients with mild to moderate aging concerns to consider the benefits of combining cosmetic injectables instead of going forward with invasive plastic surgeries. Dysport is fast, simple, and long-lasting, making it the obvious choice for patients ready to address fine lines and wrinkles on the facial area.

Who is a candidate for Dysport?

We welcome patients into our practice to be evaluated to decide if injectables such as Dysport are appropriate for their specific needs. Dysport is just one of many injectable services available in our practice, and we can develop a treatment plan that is as unique as our patients. We want our patients to be fully educated on what they can expect with injectables and let them know it can be a viable alternative to invasive surgeries. It is also affordable for our patients, allowing them to achieve the results they want without breaking the bank!

How often are Dysport injections needed?

What is Dysport? - explained by Dr. Mary Lupo
Dysport is another neuromodulator that came after botox. If you are someone who is looking to get rid of the wrinkles on your face, Dysport might be what you are looking for. Watch the video to learn more on Dysport offered by Dr. Mary Lupo at Lupo Center for Aesthetic and General Dermatology.

What is Dysport?

Dysport is another neuromodulator that came after botox. I have some patients in my practice who had felt that dysport works a little bit better for them. Either it kicks in quicker or lasts a little bit longer.

But the major differentiator of dysport is that it has a greater area of diffusion. Greater area of diffusion means that from the spot you inject it, it spreads a little bit more. Now this can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the patient.

What is the use of Dysport?

The use of Dysport, Botox, Jeuveau and Xeomin, the message should be to patients is that, talk to your physician and make sure that your physician knows and understands the differences between these products.

And they are not using the same one on everyone, that they do individualize the treatment and understand the differences in the neuromodulator so that when they do inject then they going to get the best possible outcome for each individual patient.
