Effective skin care solutions by the team of the Lupo Center for Aesthetic and General Dermatology in New Orleans, LA
By Dr. Mary LupoSkin care is important. Patients can keep their skin looking youthful, healthy, and beautiful with a daily routine that cleanses, tones, and moisturizes. Additionally, patients with other conditions such as eczema and acne may also want to speak to their dermatologist about topical creams and medications that can assist in reducing these issues.
To determine the best skin care routine, Dr. Mary Lupo, board certified dermatologist, must first analyze the skin during an evaluation. They need to understand the skin type. There are several skin types including dry, oily, sensitive, combination, and normal. Once they have determined this, they will speak to patients about any issues they may be experiencing such as dryness, eczema, acne, or pigmentation issues. Then, they can develop a plan for patients that may include at-home treatments, daily cleansing, and in-office solutions such as chemical peels or microdermabrasion. They are experienced dermatologists at the Lupo Center for Aesthetic and General Dermatology who can assist patients in making decisions regarding the health and wellness of their skin.
Additionally, patients should be proactive about their skin's health and care. Conditions such as skin cancer may develop when patients do not take the proper precautions to protect their sensitive skin from the UV rays of the sun. Skin cancer is a condition that is experiencing rapid growth but, with early detection, and be diagnosed, treated, and prevented with the help of a dermatologic professional.
Patients in the New Orleans area who are interested in finding out more about skin care routines and products that can enhance the skin are welcome to contact the practice of the Lupo Center for Aesthetic and General Dermatology.
