Men and women in the New Orleans area can improve skin tone with Intense Pulsed Light therapy
By Dr. Mary LupoIPL allows patients with a wide range of concerns to achieve beautiful skin. Intense Pulsed Light is not a laser but rather uses broadband light energy from the visible and near-infrared light spectrum. It is safe and effective at providing skin rejuvenation with heat that can stimulate the production of collagen for improved texture. This treatment is much gentler than laser therapies and requires no downtime.
Intense Pulsed Light is highly recommended for patients who want simple skin rejuvenation. The procedure can help even the skin tone, reduce redness, fade dark spots, improve the size of pores, and stimulate collagen production to add volume and youthfulness. It can also reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It does this all without requiring recovery or healing time, allowing patients to go about the remainder of their day after treatment.
Patients of all ages may benefit from IPL treatment and the rejuvenation it can provide. When combined with a dermatologist-developed skin care routine, patients will see optimum results and be able to maintain them much longer than if they didn't work with an experienced skin professional. Dr. Mary Lupo is a board certified dermatologist with more than 30 years of training and experience in treating a wide range of skin, hair, nail, and body concerns.
Dr. Mary Lupo and the team at the Lupo Center for Aesthetic and General Dermatology encourage patients to educate themselves on the advantages of Intense Pulsed Light when compared to more traditional laser therapies.
